Hair Loss and Books

Though we present hair loss book reviews here, your own experience with a book matters most.

A person can find between the two covers of a good book a friend like no other.  When we read, we enter into a partnership with the author whereby we use his words and our imagination to devise – together – a world totally and utterly of our own joint creation.  Whether it be a novel or a work of non-fiction, there is a collaborative process that takes place that is unique and different from any other art form.

Here we examine books, authors and characters that have some connection to hair loss.  There are many books out there that focus on baldness or feature a character losing his or her hair; we review these books and then share our thoughts: Are they fair to those with hair loss?  Do they present accurate information?  Do they make a good read?  Are they compassionate and sensitive?

We’re here to offer a guide, but more importantly, we want to alert you to some of the books, authors and characters "out there" in the world of words and books.  Your experience reading them will be yours and completely your own – which is what books are all about.
