Though this Bill of Rights is designed to safeguard the clients’ rights, it is more than reasonable to expect clients seeking hair loss treatment to assume both reasonable responsibilities and expectations. The client should furthermore assume greater involvement in their treatment in order to increase the likelihood of achieving a satisfactory outcome. The client seeking treatment for hair loss has the right: 1. To be treated with compassion, consideration and respect. 2. To expect high-quality, personal service provided by competent staff. 3. To expect a high-quality solution that addresses the client’s condition. 4. To understand all yearly costs associated with treatment. 5. To a clear statement of the purpose, goals, techniques and rules of the solution/procedure, as well as potential dangers, and all other information related to – or likely to affect – the ongoing relationship between client and hair loss provider. 6. To obtain easily understood information about the solution/procedure and to have this information explained clearly and directly. 7. To participate fully and knowledgeably in the ongoing treatment plan to the maximum feasible extent. 8. To expect complete confidentiality and that no information will be released or shared without written consent. 9. To expect an atmosphere of complete privacy while at the service location. 10. To a fair and efficient procedure for resolving grievances with the hair loss provider and to understand the procedure prior to becoming a client.
