For those of us who are fortunate enough to be healthy, happiness is easy to achieve. However, there are many among us who are far less fortunate. Whether suffering from hair loss from cancer treatment, alopecia, or other medical reasons, the result for the child is the same… devastation! It is Hairloss.com’s goal to help these children through these difficult times, whether it be at home, school or at play. Through this small effort we hope to help these children feel like themselves again.
Mission Statement Hair for Children is a program sponsored by HairLoss.com. The goal of the program is to provide free hair to children in the United States ages 11-18 who are suffering from hair loss. Funds and Contributions Hair for Children accepts contributions. We guarantee that all donations will be used only for this program. Hair for children is a charitable organization, we are not classified as non-profit, and therefore receipts cannot be used as a tax deduction. The Program Hairloss.com will select 1 child per month. The services of designing and fitting, the complimentary hair by Hairloss.com will be completed at a retail partner nearest you. No travel expenses are included. The only thing we ask of the selected boy or girl is for them to tell their story on camera, and provide pictures and/or video of themselves before their hair loss, and in their current state. HairLoss.com will place the Childs photo, and story, on the web site in order to reach out to help other children. Children must also be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Is this program only for Children who live in the United States? Yes. In the Continental USA only. Are there any hidden costs or obligations if my child is selected? The hair and delivery is totally free. Transportation costs to and from the retail location is not covered. The only other obligation is the signing of a photo release that allows Hairloss.com to use the picture on the web site, in video, and in print. This is for the purposes of sharing the child’s story with other children with hair loss and their parents. Where do I get my new hair? At the Hairloss.com retail partner nearest you. How many times do I have to go to the retail location? There is usually two visits required, the first being for design and fitting, and the second for delivery and training on how to care for your new hair. Plus to be available for photographs of the child in their new hair. Can I reapply every Year? Children selected may not reapply. It is only fair that other children get the chance. How do I submit my application? Applications should be done thru Hairloss.com preferably. Application will also be accepted by mail.
